From direction
to delivery.

Independent communication & digital consultancy, Brussels

I’m Maarten Denys. I help organisations make communication decisions, lead demanding projects and give their teams the expertise and support to get good work done. Sometimes I advise. Sometimes I take the lead. Often, it’s a bit of both.

When something needs moving forward

A new ambition, competing priorities or a strategy that needs another look. I help you challenge assumptions, find a useful direction and turn ideas into decisions and plans people can act on.

Different stakeholders, deadlines, partners and decisions that can’t wait. I bring structure, coordinate the work and take responsibility for getting it over the line.

Sometimes it’s advice. Sometimes coaching, temporary reinforcement or someone to take a job off the team’s plate. I work alongside your people and build on what’s already there.

Experience you can put to work.

Different projects. Different roles. Often the same need to connect decisions, people and delivery.

The website went live. The cameras started rolling.

The National Lottery’s corporate website had to serve eight departments and very different audiences. I coordinated the renewal, helping map more than 200 legacy URLs into a clearer structure and deliver the site on schedule. The assignment also sparked ongoing video production across the organisation.

From ‘hellhole’ to Creatively Generous.

For Molenbeek’s bid to become European Capital of Culture in 2030, I led communications from the early stages to the final selection round. We built a new infrastructure and identity, got local creators on board and reached millions of people, with international media coverage to match. Leuven won. Molenbeek made itself heard.

A rich legacy. A new website. And better socials.

Greenpeace Belgium needed a website that spoke to supporters, rather than about the organisation. I led the Belgian content strategy and implementation: a reworked information architecture, and a team rewriting all pages in a new tone of voice. After launch, the collaboration grew into social media strategy and team coaching.

More ways I’ve helped.

Developing a new communications strategy and coaching the team through better workflows and a website migration.

Helping European stakeholders find their way to BEREC events through digital communication and narrowly targeted campaigns.

From the Radio Winokio app launch to livestreams and content production, combining strategic advice with hands-on delivery.

“Maarten knows how to manage people, think up concepts, set the tone, manage the visual aspect, get results and keep costs under control.”

One person to connect the dots.

Strategy, content, platforms, technology, people and workflows rarely arrive in separate boxes.

I’ve worked in journalism, led digital and editorial teams and spent years advising, coordinating and producing communication projects. That helps me move between the bigger picture and the practical details.

When you work with M.Advice, you work directly with me. When an assignment needs specialist skills, I introduce you to people I trust, without unnecessary agency layers.

How I can help.

One challenge may call for several different skills. Here are the six areas I work across.

Find direction, choose priorities and make change workable.

Let’s think it through ↗

Bring structure and leadership to demanding communication projects.

Let’s make it happen ↗

Build confidence, sharpen skills and help teams work better together.

Let’s work better together ↗

Improve websites, digital products and the processes behind them.

Let’s put technology to work ↗

Find the right angle and make content worth watching, reading or sharing.

Let’s create a story worth sharing ↗

Understand who you (need to) reach and make your communication matter.

Let’s reach the right people ↗

Good collaboration makes better work.

I like working with people who know their world. I bring an outside perspective, ask useful questions and help get the work done.

Ideally, your team is stronger when I leave.

And if you’re wondering what that’s like in practice, there are people who’ve worked with me who can tell you.
